    Condition as seen. Wonderful content in this 1/4 plate tintype of a mounted Union Infantry or cavalry soldier holding a Colt Rifle.  Note broadsides on wall next to the soldier also.  Great content is spoiled by the image being dark.  But where do you ever see a colt rifle in a hard image, very rare.  A detailed scan is the second photo here trying to show you the detail on this great image.  In a full case with repaired hinge.
