1834 - The Trenton residents assembled "Resolved that in the Herculean efforts of the Bank of the United States to wrest from the people the administration of their choice...that the recent deliberate determination of this monstrous monoply to wrap itself in darkeness...that in the removal of the late Secretary of the Treasure, the President exercised a power, not only his right but his solomn duty." By voting in favor of the Bank, they declared their Senators "have justly forfited all right to the respect and confidence of the people" and they appeal to their congressional representatives to persevere in opposition to the recharter of the bank.Eight pages, introductory page attached here.
